Analysis on The Epidemiological Characteristics of Rash and Fever Illness in JiangSu Province

Rash and Fever Illnesses(RFIs), mainly mainifesting itself in rash and fever symptoms, were usually regarded as measles cases in measles surveillance. A laboratory surveillance of measles and rubella was carried out since 1998 in Jiangsu Province. 653 RFIs cases were surveyed from 1998 to 1999. 348 measles cases and 60 rubella cases were diagnosed using laboratory method. 112 measles cases were ≥20 years old.
