Epidemiological Characteristics of Infectious Diseases in Jiangxi Province after Flood 1999

In order to learn the epidemic feature of infectious disease and the effect of preventive measures after flood in Jianxi Province, analysis of incidence rate (Per 100,000) of A and B notifiable infectious disease in 1999 was carried out. The total incidence rate was 253.22/10 6 compared with that in 1998, 12.70% was increased. The increasing incidence rates of the flood related infectious diseases were hepatitis A and E, dysentery and hephalitis. Leptospirosis was prevented significantly, the incidence rate was decreased to the lowest level in 1990's.
