An Analysis of AIDS Preventive Intervention on Long Distance Truck Drivers in Dongsheng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

In order to get the experience of HIV intervention and education in high risk behavior group. An educational material distribution and counsel was carried out in long distowce truck drivers in Dongsheng city 1997. There was an singificant increase on preventive knowledge in target group. The preventive knowledge was increased by 54.55% after intervention, and over 90% persons understood three main HIV transmission route in the target group. It was showed that this was a very effective method for AIDS control in some poor preventive knowledge group.
