Study on Five Mycoplasma Infections in 800 Patients with STD

  • Using nested PCR(Npcr),Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu)、Mycoplasma hominis(Mh) M.genitalium(Mg)、M.pneumoniae(Mpn) and M.fermentans (Mf) from genital specimens in 499 male and 301 female patients with STD in Wuxi area were detected.The results showed that the positive rates of Uu、Mh、Mpn、Mg and Mf were 48.9%19.8%10.8%7.4% and 1.0% in male cases,respectively,and 61.5%,34.2%,7.6%, 4.0% and 0% in female cases,respectively. Both male or femal patients,Uu、Uu+Mh and Mh infections were more frequent1y in infective pattern of mycoplasmas,and a combined infections of three of four mycoplasmas were discovered in the specimens.The conclusion indicated that the status of mycoplasma infections in the patients with STD is very serious in our country.
