Analysis on 16s rRNA Ribotype of Salmonella paratyphi A Strains Isolated from Guizhou Province,2000

The prevalence caused by Salmonella paratyphi A was occurred recently in Guizhou province. To analyze the molecular epidemiological characteristics of the strains isolated from different districts in Guizhou, 64 strains in year 2000 were analyzed by hybridization chromosomal DNA restriction fragments length polymorphism with 16s Rrna gene probe, I.e. Ribotyping. All strains were the same hybridization pattern when the DNA was digested with PstI, although the DNA of some strains was further digested and analyzed with BglI,respectively.It was suggested that the widely spread of the same clone of strains might be the major cause in the prevalence of S.paratyphi A in Guizhou.
