Detection on DNA of Ureaplasma Urealyticum and Chlamydia Psittaci in Patients with Conjunctivitis

  • To explore relation between Ureaplasma urealyticum (Uu) or Chlamydia psittaci (Cps) and human conjuntivitis, Uu, Cps and Chlamydia trachomatis (Ct). 62 eyes specimens of 57 patients with conjunctivit were detected by nested PCR (nPCR). The results showed that the positive rates of Ct, Uu and Cps were 19.3%, 14.0% and 3.5%, respectively. These results indicated that Uu or Cps might be involved in pathogenenesis of human conjunctivitis.
