Epidemiological Analysis of Viral Hepatitis in Wuxi Rural Area in 1992-2002

Objective To sutdy the epidemic law of viral hepatitis inWuxi rural area. Methods Using description epidemiological methods to analysis the incidence of viral hepatitis in Xishan city from 1992 to 2002. Results The morbidity of viral hepatitis was going down from 1992 to 2002. The morbidity of hepatitis A declined significantly comparing with the early 1990s' , but the morbidity of hepatitis B didn't change significantly. Conclusions In order to decline the morbidity of viral hepatitis in Wuxi rural area, the key method was to control hepatitis B.We should stress the health education and promote the vaccine of hepatitis A and B so as to decline the morbidity of hepatitis A and B.
