Analysis on Risk Behavior Relating to HIV Infection in Drug Users

  • Objective To learn high risk behaviors relating to HIV infection in drug users in Shenzhen city. Methods Detecting HIV antibody of 1 516 persons abstaining from drugs in some drug abstaining bureau and investigating 76 HIV positive persons by questionnaire. Results The positive rate of HIV antibody was 5.1%, the rate of persons aged 15~35 was 93.67% in persons abstaining from drugs; among HIV infections, the rate of persons aged 15~35 was 96.05%, the rate of injection drug users was 98.68%, the rate of sharing injector persons among injection drug users was 80.26%. Conclusions There were high risk be-haviors causing HIV prevalence among drug users in some place. We should develop effective measures and ed-ucation activities.
