Abstract
Objective Fbrescent quantitative PCR and ELISA were used for the detaction of Hepatitis B virus markers and correlation between the two melhods was evaluated Methods 952 serum sam-
ples from service industries staff with HBV surface antigen(HBsAg)positive in Shenzhen were detectedand analyzed by HHV fluorescent quantitative PCR and ELISA respectively Results Definite differ-ences exited among groups of different HBV markers by fluorescent quantitative PCR.The positive logarithmic average value of HBV DNA in patients with positive E antigen(HBeAg)was 6.49±1.29,while the logarithmic average value of positive HBV DNA in patients with negative HB but positive HBsAg was 4.46±1.29. There was a significam difference between them(P<0.01),but no apparent differ-ences were found as far as sexes and native places were concemed Conelusion A close correlation exists between these two methods in the detection of HBV markers;HBsAg-positive patients detected by ELISA should be further tested by fluorescent quantitative PCR.
