Analysis of Epidemic Situation of Certain Troops in a Combat Zone from 2000 to 2004

  • Objectives The preset study was to analyze the trend of epidemic situation of certain troop in a combat zone in the recent 5 years,SO as to provide scientific evidence for formulating specific and scientific prevention measure.Methods Statistic analysis was conducted according to the infectious diseases report cards from all levels of medical institutions,as well as medical newspaper for the combat zone in the 5 years.Results From 2000 to 2004 the incidence rate of the infectious disease among certain troops in the combat zone was in a decline tendency,and the incidence of enteric infectious diseases,mainly bacillary dysentery and hepatitis A,decreased annually,but that of the respiratory infectious diseases,mainly tuberculosis and measles, were in an ascending trend.Viral hepatitis,bacillary dysentery and tuberculosis accounted for 74.34% of the total of incidence of infectious diseases,thus they were still the focus of the prevention of infectious diseases.Conclusion The prevention of infectious diseases among certain troops in the combat zone had achieved positive results.Yet the prevention of viral hepatitis, bacillary dysentery and tuberculosis should be reinforced in particular.
