Molecular Typing Study on 134 Strains of Salmonella Paratyphi A in Zhejiang Province

Objective The present study was conducted to analyze the genetic correlation of salmonella paratyphi A and epidemic regularity using molecular typing technique for constituting effective measures of prevention and treatment in Zhejiang province．Methods 134 Strains of Salmonella paratyphi A of Zhejiang province were corrried through molecular epidemiology study using Pulsed—field gel electrophoresis (PFGF)．Results One hundreds thirty four detected strains were divided into eleven types．Type I，Ⅱ，Ⅲ，Ⅳ，Ⅴ，Ⅵ，Ⅶ，Ⅷ，Ⅸ，Ⅹ and Ⅺ accounted for 47．8％，36．6％，0．7％，4．5％，0．7％，0．7％，0．7％，1．5％，0．7％，1．5％ and 4．5％，respectively．Conclusion Both type I and Ⅱ accounted for 84.3％ in the total 134 strains．It is thus evident that 134 detected strains have a high homology and eight of them ale of the rare bacterium type，which may be associated with the high sporadic condition of salmonella palatyphi A in Zhejiang province．
