Investigation on Nosocomial Failure in Report of Infectious Diseases and Quality Evaluation on Report Cards

  • Objective This study was intended to understand the reporting quality of epidemic situation in hospitals so as to provide a scientific basis for the establishment of control strategies against diseases.Methods Investigation was carried out according to the requirements regulated in the “National investigation scheme for failure in report of legal infectious diseases” on failure of report in hospitals.Results 124 cases of type B and C infectious diseases altogether were found,with 38 cases of failure in report and a fail-to-report rate of 30.65%.The rate of failing to report of the out—patient clinic (54.76%) was higher than that of the in—patient dept.(18.29%) notably (X2=17.38,PX2=5.84,P<0.01).The rate of delay in report of infectious diseases was 8.06% and the rate of missing in filling “occupation”.“test and diagnosis”and”address”in the card was 12.10%。10.48% and 7.26% respectively.Conclusion The failure in report of nosocomial infectious diseases mainly comes from doctors in depts.of diagnosis and treatment of non—infectious diseases in the out—patient clinic.To Strengthen clinician’S training of epidemic situation report,set up and perfect the sys tem of management on epidemic situation report inside hospitals and enhance the supervision and legal execution of infectious diseases are key measures to improve the in-time report rate and accuracy of epidemic situation in hospitals.
