Analysis on Injuries of Floating Population Monitored in Hospital Emergency Rooms

  • Objective This study was conduced to understand the present status of injuries of floating populmion to take effective preventive actions.Methods Descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the status quo of injuries of floating population monitored from 2003 to 2004 in a certain comprehensive hos pital in the city of Hangzhou.Results It was found that in the 421 cases of floating population injured the age group from 30 to 40 years of age account-ed for the highest proportion with the ratio of male to female being 5:2:1 The injuries occurred most in July and least in January Them was a significant difference between males and females in the causes and body parts of injuries.Rescue management took one to two hours in 40.4% of the injured and 44.7% of them could be discharged after emergency medical care Conclusion In-juries have constituted a threat to the quality of life of floating population.So health education about the prevention of injuries should be strengthened and at the same time first aid should be improved.
