Investigation and Study on Relationship of Helicobacter Pylori Infection with Iron Deficiency Anemia among Children

Objecfive This research was made to discuss the correlation between helicobacter pylori (HP) infection and iron deficiency anemia (IDA) among children Methods 899 cues of children who have entered the kindergarten and aged from 2 to 7 years old were managed penpheral blood cell analysis，as well as serum iron，semm femtin and HP antibody determination Results 279 cases of children were infected by HP and 99 cases had iron deficiency anemia，of whom there were 58 eases of children who were infected by HP and had iron deficiency anemia at the sam same time (20.8％)，compared with 41 cases of IDA without infecfion (6.7％)．Statistical was analysis showed a significant difference between both groups(X2=39.46，PHP infected children are apt to suffer from IDA and vise versa．HP infection is a risk factor causing or aggravating iron deficiency anemia in children
