The Status Quo of Secondary School Students Smoking and Related Factors.

  • Objective The study WaS conducted tO know the status quo of secondary school students smoking and related factors for the implementation of intervention to reduce secondary school students smoking rate.Methods The stratified cluster sampling method was used to draw samples from two see-ondary schools, in which high school students of grade one and two were chosen aS subjects to investigate their present smoking situation and its relationship with social psychic factors.Single-and multiple-factor Non-conditional Logistic regression analysis was used tO analyze the data.Results High school students smoking rate was 17.48%. With occasional smokers accounting 13.72% and regular smoking for 1.99%.The factors influencing high school students smoking included family and social environment。Companions,ability to resist the pressure of companions’offering cigarettes and mental stress.Conclu-sion The status quo of secondary school students smoking allows no negligence and Measures to stop smoking in adolescents must be strengthened.
