Study on the Detection of Surface Antigens of Hepatitis B by Sampling Peripheral Blood

  • Objective This study was intended to probe the feasibility of applying peripheral blood sampling to the detection of surface antigens of hepatitis B.Methods Venous blood of examinees was drawn along with sampling of peripheral blood by EDTA-2K-additive lidded centrifuge tubes. Both of which were used to determine surface antigens of hepatitis B.Results 532 specimens were tested.50 positive cases were detected by peripheral blood sampling, with a rate of 9.39%,while 52 were identi-fled by venous blood detection. With a rate of 9.77%.The results of both methods had no significant difference. Conclusion Venous blood can be replaced by peripheral blood to determine surface antigens of hepatitis B.
