Abstract
Objective This study was made to understand the infection status of Norwalk-like virus-es in 90 rotavirus-negative stool samples tested by molecular biology from infants and pre-school children who Suffered from diarrhea.Methods Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was adopted to determine the antigen of Norwalk-like viruses.Results 6 cases of type I(G1)and 19 cas-es of type II (G2) Norwalk-like virus were detected in 90 stool samples,with a positive rate of 6.67% and 21.11%,respectively,indicating significant difference between them.Conclusion The in-feetion of Norwalk-like viruses might be one of the most important factors that lead to diarrhea among infants and pre-school children in Wuhan city,typeⅡ Norwalk一like virus iS the main epidemic strain.
