Analysis on the Epidemic Situation of Notifiable Diseases and Important Infectious Diseases in Urumchi City in 2004

Objective The present study was to discuss the epidemic characteristics of notifiable diseases in Urumchi City，SO as to provide scientific evidences for establishing and perfecting strategy and measures for prevention and control of infectious diseases．Methods Data reported directly through the network for epidemic situation of infectious diseases were done statistics and analysis．Results The incidence rate of infectious diseases WaS 331.96/lakh per year by report，the death rate was 0.28/lakh，and the fatality rate was 0.08％．The important infectious diseases include mainly viral hepatitis，of which the incidence rate was 117.89/lakh per year，35.5l％ of the total number of incidence，bacillary dysentery，of which the incidence rate was 77.079/lakh yearly，23.22％ of the total number of incidence，and sexually transmitted diseaSe，of which the incidence rate was 36.19/lakh yearly．10.90％．Conclusion Reinforcing the report and management of the epidemic situation and decreasing the number of missing report or misinformation are an important means to enhance the quality of infectious diseases repots and control the epidemic situation of infectious diseases．
