Epidemiological analysis on situation of epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis in Jinhua City in spring of 2005

Ohlective This study was conducted to understand the situation of epidemiccerebrospinal meningitis (ECM) in Jinhua City in spring of 2005，explore the reasons for high incidence of epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis，provide a scientific evidence for formulating the effective measures of ECM control．Methods An epidemiological analysis was performed on case of ECM in Jinhua City from January 1．2005 to April 30．2005 Results A total of 43 cases of epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis were reported.with a incidence rate of 0.81／Lakh，which showed the year with the highest incidence since 1996．The cases were mainly among people above 15 years,and in terms of occupation composition，peasant workers and students from places other than the city were predominant，with cases of children decreased in proporion Conclusion In this year，epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis situation in our city in spring showed a trend of high incidence．At present，effective measures for ECM control are carrying out ECM vaccination among peasant workers．Adopting group A+C vaccine'of epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis as routine immunity，and taking medicine for prevention and inoculating of effective emergency．Et al
