Analysis of measles epidemic situation from 1995 to 2004 in Hunan Province

Objectives This study was conducted to undeRSTAnd the epidemic feamms of measles in Hunan Province so as to provide scientific evidenee for me~les control Me~ods Epidemic amms of measles from 1995 to 2004 were analyzed by de~fipfive epidemiology methods，and profiling analysis of time distribution of incidence was also analyzed．Results The average annual incidence rate of measles during the ten years was 3 97／Lakh The average incidence rates were high in Zhangjiajie，Huaihua，and Xiangxi Autonomous State and the patients were Mainly young children Further．The measles epidemic situation in Hunan Province was almost the same as the whole country in terms of time distribution．Conclusion Basic immunity program for specific at-eas and specific population should be intensified and revaccination should be conducted in time．
