Abstract
Objective The present study was conducted to analyze the results of the epidemio-logical survey and sentinel surveillance of HIV/AIDS in order to put forward to pertinent preven-tive and control measures to reduce the morbidity of AIDS.Methods The epidemic trend of AIDS in Ningde City was analyzed with the SPSS 11.5 based on the behavioral and serological surveillance data.Results By the end of 2005,51 cases with HIV/AIDS had been found in Ningde City,the ratio of males to females was 1.55 tO 1,and there were 10 dead cases.The
route of infection was mainly sexual transmission.And the mother-tO-child transmission and blood transmission were also present.HIV-positive cases has been found among clinic patients with STDS.Prostitutes and drug addicts since serological surveillance sentinels were set up in 2000.The proportion of female sex workers engaged in illegal commercial sexual activities in entertain-ment settings was high,but proportion of these women who used condoms each time was compar-atively lower.Conclusion The risk factors On HIV/AIDS prevalence persistently exist in Ningde City.In high—risk population,the latent danger of rapid diffusion or prevalence of HIV/AIDS in-creases continuously.And the intensity of prevalence had a rapid increasing trend.In the future, AIDS surveillance system should be set up and improved,and intervention should be enhanced to prevent HIV/AIDS from spreading from the high-risk population to general population.
