Analysis of the status quo of active surveillance in Dongcheng District

  • Objective The present study was conducted to investigate and analyze the status quo of active surveillance of food safety and sanitation in order to find the problems and promote the development of active surveillance for food sanitation.Methods Data before and after the reform of public health system in Dongcheng District (Such as systemic data of food sanitation examina-tion, data on food poisoning,and SO on) was objectively compared and analyzed.Results Detec-tion rate and the number of samples in food businesses significantly decreased compared with those before the reform.The qualified rate of significant foods such as cooked meat obviously reduced,while the incidence of food poisoning significantly increased.Conclusion Active surveillance on food is an important measure to insist on scientific supervision of food sanitation and execution of related rules and eliminate the hidden troubles of food sanitation.Combining special funds of gov-ernment with contract testing and establishing scientific and effective surveillance system for food sanitation are quite necessary to ensure The food safety.
