Epidemiological investigation and analysis of an outbreak of norwalk virus diarrhea

Objective this study was conduced to analyze the epidemiological features of an outbreak of norwalk virus diarrhea in u district of Shenzhen municipality to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of norwalk virus diarrhea．Methods Case definifion was established and case-finding and epidemiological invesrigation were made．Norwalk virus anti-gen was detected by RT-PCR Results The epidemic lasted for one weak and a total of l3 cases wcre found，including 8 infants，l primary school student and，4 teaching stuff．10 fecal samples weire collected and it was found in lab studies that norwalk virus antigen was positive in all the samples Conclusion Close contact is the main rout of transmission of norwalk virus diarrhea Cultivation of good personal hygiene habits，isolation of SOUrCe of infection and interruPtion of route of transmission are effective approaches t0 the prevention and control of the disease
