Surveillance and analysis of infectious diseases in 2004 in Yunnan Province

Objective The present investigation was made to get an insight into the epidemic dynamics of infectious diseases,and provide evidence for the formulation of measures and strategies for the prevention and control of the diseases in Yunnan province．Methods The data were collected．Coordinated and analyzed through the surveillance report system of infectious diseases．Results The totaI incidence of infectious diseases reported was stable with a slight decline with eclass A infectious diseases controlled effectively．And the top 5 infectious diseases were still pulmonary tuberculosis，viral hepatitis，dysentery，malaria and typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever.AIDS become the first cause of death from infectious diseases In Yunnan province．Conclusion Plague，cholera AIDS，malaria and tuberculosis ale still the focuses to which particular attention should be paid jn terms of the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in Yunnan province
