Analysis on infectious situation of eperythrozoonsis (EPE) in Fuyang City

Objective This analysis was made to understand the infectious situation of eperythro-zoonsis (EPE) in Fuyang City．Methods The smear dyeing and microscopy，etc．Were used for investigation of infectious situmion of eperythrozoonsis (EPE) among people (including healthy people and patients)，and animals (including livestock，poultry and rats) in the scope of Fuyafig City．Results Total 1301 people were examined，and there were 442 cases positive，which was 33.97％of the total，and the positive rates for Waiters，workers，students，and stockmen of milk COW were 27.55％，19.39％，31.15％，90.91％and 47.63％，respectively．Total 467 animals were tested，and the positive rate was 44011％，in which the positive rates for pig，rnjlk COW， chicken，and rat were respectively 49.20％，95.55％，26.51％and 5.00％．Twelve cases diagnosed with severe EPE were administered cidomycin，achromycin，and qunolones，two drugs of metron-idazole used by combination or by oral administration comhined with iv，and significant curative effect had been achieved．Conclusion There existed broadly infection of EPE among people and animals in Fuyang City．In the future，studies of etiology，epidemiology，diagnosis and therapy should be further carried out．
