Investigation of HCV infection among five groups of people in Fuzhou City

Objective The study was performed to understand the situation of HCV infection among drug abusers，syphilis carriers，HBV carders，people from services trade for check-up，and epidemic prevention workers．Methods ELISA was applied for me detection of HCV antibody．Results The anti-HCV positive rates of drug abusers，syphilis carriers，HBV carriers，people from services trade for check-up，and epidemic prevention workers were respectively 60.58％，0,0,1.00％ and 0.71％．Conclusion The drug abusers are the high risk group for HCV infection，and strengthening health education and behavior interference for this group is very important for controlling transmission of infectious diseases as hepatitis C,etc．
