Analysis on the monitoring results of tuberculosis in Taizhou City in 2004

  • Objective The study was performed to monitor the epidemic situation of tuberculosis and analyze the epidemiological law and relapse of the disease,SO as to scientifically instruct the implementation of modem prevention and treatment strategy.And evaluate the implementation effect as well.Methods A modem tuberculosis prevention and control strategy.I.e.Direccfly observed treatment short-course (DOTS),was adopted to carry out the prevention and treatment work.Collect monitoring data of 2004. And perform a statistical analysis for the results.Resuits The newly registered rate of smear-positive tuberculosis was 32.44/lakh.With curative rate of 85.03%.And 87.86% of the patients were detected through referring.Among patients of smear positive who were newly registered,36.70% were found within a month,and the treatment rate within three weeks was was 98.09%.Conclusion The detection rate and treatment rate for tuberculosis patients in Taizhou City are relative high,and for treatment of patients,implementation of gratis treatment strategy.as well as management of patients,the management model of integration of detection,treatment and control is advantageous to a relatively high degree,but the existing link of referring might result in delay of detection for patient.Monitoring results show that there is a relatively high proportion of patients whose drug administration is interrupted or whose therapeutic schemes changed for the side effects caused by the therapy of anti-tuberculosis drugs.
