Application of National Disease Surveillance Reporting System in Early Detection of Infectious Disease Outbreaks

  • Objective The present study is to discuss the meaning and usefulness of NDSRS in early detection of infectious disease outbteaks.Methods Literature review,random sampling in.Vestigation and data analysis of Emergence Public Health Incidefft Reporting System.Results ND-SRS iS the best Way for CDC to detect infectious disease outbreaks earlier currently.But only 5.4%(74 cases)of the whole 1365 infecfious disease cases in 2005 iS detected earlier through NDSRS,and the result of one investigation by random sampling also indicates most of CDCs are not aware of this problem and have not developed this work systemically.Conclusion Early de-tection of infectious disease Outbrcaks is one of major goals of establishment of the public health surveillance system,and we can attain this goal by effectively utilizing NDSRS.
