Analysis of HBV infection among the employed persons in Anshan Iron and Steel Factory from 2003 to 2005

Objective This study was made to analyze HBV infection of the employed persons engaged in various iobs in Anshan Iron and Steel Factory and the characteristics of the disease for the formulation of effective preventive strategies．Methods Data of HBV tests were collected in the preventive physical examinations of the employed persons engaged in various jobs in Anshan Iron and steel Factory from 2003 to 2005 and statistically analyzed．Results Statistical analysis showed that the HBsAg positive rate was 0.99％-2.32％ among the employed persons engaged in various iObS in Anshan Iron and steel Factory from 2003 to 2005，with the positive rate of anti-HBs being 25.82％-55.98％．The HBsAg positive rate was lowest among the employees in food prepatation areas and. Utensil-washing areas，with the anti—HBs positive rate highest．The mode of HBV infection indicated that 61.93％ of the 381 HBsAg positive cases were obviously implicated in the source of infection． Conclusion HBsAg positive rate among the employed persons engaged in various obs in Anshan Iron and Steel Factory took on a trend of yearly decrease from 2003 to 2005．With the protection against HBV infection increasing．
