Abstract
Objective The study was conducted to analyze the relation between CD4+ cell count and opportunistic infection of HIV/ADIS - infected people in rural areas in Heze Municipality of Shandong Province through follow-up survey cases in order to observe the role of prognostication of CD4+ cell count to opportunistic infection. Methods Analysis was made on HIV/ADIS-infected people in rural areas in Heze city of Shandong Province by follow-up visits and test result of CD4+.Results 99 cases of HIV/ADIS infection occurred muldDle opportunistic infection among 117 cases of HIV/ADIS infection detected with CD4+ cell count less than 200/μl.Incidence 0f 84.6% and 6 cases occurred opportunistic infection among 38 cases with CD4+ cell count over 300/μl,incidence of 15.8%,and incidence of 100% with CD4+ cell count less than 100/μl.Conclusion It is found that the incidence of different opportunistic infection for level of CD4+ cell count is different and the relation between them is very close. The less of CD4+ cell count was,the higher the incidence was.So it is reasonable to select CD4+ cell count as the indices of prevention of opportunistic infection and very important to regular surveillance of CD4+ cell count for timely prevention of opportunistic infection to improve the quality of the HIV/AIDS-infected people.
