Investigation on behavior risk factors relevant to chronic diseases among residents in three counties of Zhejiang Province

Objective This study was conducted to understand the distribution and occurrence lev-el of risk factors relevant to chronic diseases among residents in three counties of Zhejiang Province and SO provide evidence for formulation of effective intervention strategy．Methods A method of random sampling was adopted for investigation of questionnaire and physical measurement，and the statistical software of SAS 8.02 was used for data analysis．Results For residents in the three COUn-ties，the smoking rate was 28.67％，while the rate of abstention from smoking 17.31％，and the drirk ing rate 50.24％．Among the residents，89.89％ took almost no moderate or mild exercise within a week，and the incidence rate，awareness rate and control rate of hypertension were 27.25％，28.99％ and 6.09％ respectively, and at the same time，the incidence rate of obesity was 5.45％and rate of overweight 22.91％．Conclusion Main risk factors of behaviors relevant to chronic diseases were prevalent among residents in the three counties at a relative high level of occurrence，to which a high attention should be paid，and corresponding intervention measures should be taken．
