An analysis of the epidemic situations of some major infectious diseases in Shandong Province in 2005

  • Objective The present study was conducted to analyze the epidemic situations and characteristics of some major infectious diseases across the province,provide a basis on which to make decision on public health.Methods The data on epidemic situations obtained through direct network report were analyzed with the distribution characteristics of the time,zone and population groups in terms of outbreaks of major infectious diseases emphasized besides the general profiles of all the infectious diseases.Results The reported morbidity of A and B class infectious diseases across the province in 2005 was 139.09/lakh,with cases of viral hepatitis,pulmonary tuberculosis and dysentery more frequently reported.Conclusion The epidemic situations of infectious diseases are kept stable on the whole in Shandong province in 2005,with a severe epidemic situation of AIDS,marked increase in the cases of measles and HCV,and a slight decrease in cases of HAV,HBV,epidemic hemorrhagic fever,typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever.
