Dynamic surveillance and study of direct network report of infectious diseases at Dinghai District, Zhoushan City

  • Objective The present study was conducted to get insight into the existing problems and characteristics of direct network report by medical and sanitary institutions for consummating the prediction of infectious disease. Methods Recheck the direct network report data of contagious diseases and analyze via the statistical caliber from Monday to Sunday. Results There was no statistical significance between the daily reports of year 2004 and 2005. (P0.05) Overall trend of the reports was distinguished upon four levels: Monday the highest, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the second, Saturday the third, and Sunday the lowest. Conclusion In general, the direct network report system at Dinghai District is mature. Reports from Monday to Saturday are well done, though those of Sunday should be further enhanced.
