Development and implementation of the interface of hospital information system and direct network reporting system for infectious diseases

Objective The study was designed to develop and implement an interface of the hospital information system and the network direct reporting system for infectious diseases,in order to improve the efficiency and quality of reporting of infectious diseases.Methods The application software of epidemic reporting with the interface linking the network direct reporting system was developed according to the national unified specifications of interface.Results With the help of the interface,the process of epidemic reporting was standardized,network channels of epidemic reporting established, and the reporting from doctors to the national disease prevention and control center achieved.The application of the interface reduced the intermediate links,artificial intervention and copied errors,and improved the efficiency of card reporting.Conclusion The development and application of the interface between the hospital information system and the network direct reporting system for infectious diseases could effectively improve the efficiency and quality of infectious disease reporting in hospital.
