Abstract
Objective This study was disigned to evaluate the field application effect of dot immunogold filtration assay (DIGFA) in brucellosis surveillance area. Methods The brucellosis antibody was detected by both DIGFA and serum agglutination test (SAT) among specific crowds and those of different occupation in the surveillance area. Results The positive antibody coincidence was 96.66%, negative coincidence 99.92% on detecting sera of specific persons by both the two methods, while the positive antibody coincidence was 96.36% and negative coincidence 99.92% among crowds of different occupation by both methods. There is no significant between DIGFA and SAT(P0.05)on detecting sera of specific crowds and those of different occupation. Conclusion DIGFA and SAT are both sensitive and specific. Additionally, DIGFA is rapid, simple to operate, and capable of trace detection, and thus the proper approach to be applied in brucellosis surveillance area.
