The establishment and application of prewarning model of disease surveillance in the grassroots

Objective The present study was conducted to analyze the current situation of disease surveillance in Yuhang District to establish a prewarning model of disease surveillance applicable for the grassroots in light of the local conditions.Methods The computer information technology and geographic information system(GIS)technology were utilized for the combination of disease surveillance information with digital maps,with which the disease surveillance and early warning model was established fitting to the local characteristics,as well as the basic principles.Results The disease surveillance and prewarning model was established in Yuhang District of Hangzhou City,Zhejiang Province,including the four main subsystems of disease surveillance and prewarning database,disease surveillance and warning geographic information systems,prewarning message disseminating mechanism and emergency database.Conclusion The disease surveillance and prewarning model in Yuhang District of Hangzhou can correctly forecast the epidemiological trend of diseases and conduct real-time transmitting of early warning messages for the control and prevention of infectious diseases and public health emergencies while reducing the damage.
