Quality analysis of the network reporting of notifiable infectious diseases in Shixing County of Guangdong Province from 2004 to 2006

  • Objective The study was conducted to analyze the quality of the network reporting of notifiable infectious diseases in Shixing County from 2004 to 2006 for the exploration of more scientific approaches of management.Methods Descriptive analysis was conducted on the quality of reporting network of local infectious diseases in the past three years.Results The card-filled rate of initial visiting doctors was 76.78%,78.80% and 90.25% from 2004 to 2006,respectively,and the reporting rate became respectively 69.23%,79.06%,and 92.88% 24 hours after the diagnosis.The issue-omitted rate was 10.26%,5.10% and 8.51%,respectively.Conclusion It is the key to prompt reporting for initial visiting doctors to complete and hand over the reporting cards of infectious diseases timely(at the same day).It is highly required to bring the timely completed reporting cards to doctors' notice to steadily improve the quality of reporting.
