Survey and discussion on immunization work and plan of Qianxinan

Objective The present investigation was conducted to understand the current immunization work of Qianxinan and to promote the development of expend programme immunization (EPI).Methods Stratified cluster sampling survey of 2002 children from 720 counties was conveyed and EPI information consulted.Results Statewide average rate of cards built was 76.53%,rate of identification 38.89%,BCG vaccination rate 71.25% and pass rate of card marks 48.08%.Polio vaccination rate was 66.53%,DPT vaccination rate 60.42%,Measles vaccination rate 55.69%,hepatitis B vaccination rate 43.13%,the first dose coverage rate 4.22% and four vaccinations' qualified rate 40.4,2%.Conclusion Qianxinan had a serious setback of EPI work.Policy,funding,management,and other aspects are needed to reverse the downward trend.
