Objective This analysis was made to understand the epidemic trend and risk factors of HIV in female sex workers in Jiangxi and provide a scientific basis for policymakers and planners to develop AIDS intervention strategies. Methods According to the National Sentinel Surveillance Guideline, cross-sectional surveys had been repeatedly conducted. The data of the first round of the year of 2003 and 2004 and the data of the year of 2005 and 2006 were chose to analysis. Results Low HIV rates were found among female sex workers with an upward trend and the infection was located in drug-abuse areas. Conclusion Effective measures for control of AIDS prevalence among female sex workers must be taken.
