Utilization status and its impact factors of vaccination service for floating children

  • Objective The study was conducted to learn the current utilization of vaccination service for floating children and its impact factors. Methods A total of 1822 floating mothers with a one-year-old child without local census register were surveyed with unified questionnaires. Results Retrieved 1811 valid questionnaires revealed that 64.38% of the parents had received the notification from local vaccination departments, while 95.53% of the parents were willing to have their children vaccinated after notified. Factor analysis revealed that the form of notification, informants and the parents familiarity with local vaccination departments affect the utilization of vaccination service for floating children. Conclusion Considering the existing problems in vaccination for floating children, it is proposed to improve the service model and the service on basic level.
