Epidemic analysis of important infectious diseases in Changping district, Beijing, 2007

  • Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of important infectious diseases in Changping district, Beijing. Methods Data of epidemic network direct report were collected for analysis. Apart from the incidence of infectious diseases, great importance was attached to the time, regional and population distribution of important infectious diseases. Results The reported incidence rate of class A and B infectious diseases was 646.60/lakh in the district in 2007. Relatively greater number of cases with dysentery, viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, and measles was noticed. Conclusion The overall situation of infectious diseases in Changping district in 2007 was relatively stable. Significantly increased number of tuberculosis and scarlet fever cases was observed, whereas the incidence of viral hepatitis, measles, hemorrhagic fever and gonorrhea declined.
