Molecular typing of Yersinia

The Yersinia genus includes 11 species, of which Yersinia pestis, Yersinia enterocolitica and Yersinia pseudotuberculosis infect human beings. This paper summarizes the progress of researches on a variety of molecular typing techniques for Yersinia. These techniques are the supplementary and in-depth developed approaches of conventional phenotype typing methods by which we can gain a more comprehensive understanding of desired bacteria.
