Analysis and application of HIV test data

Objective　The study was conducted to find out the epidemic trend of AIDS in Zhongshan city in Guangdong province. Methods　To study the epidemiologic situation of HIV, the cross-sectional method was conducted to research the detection rates of HIV test from 2004 to 2007. Results　The infection rate of the population in Zhongshan city has reduced since 2004; the differences among the total detection rates of general population, bridge population and high-risk population were statistically significant(Xsup2/sup＝250.12, IP/I0.05); the differences between the detection rates of general population, bridge population were also statistically significant (Xsup2/sup＝48.97, IP/I0.05). Conclusion　The analysis of HIV detection rate is related with many aspects, so a conclusion cannot be achieved easily; more surveillance station should be founded, and surveillance on bridge population should be emphasized.
