Quality analysis of the infectious disease network report information system in Taiyuan from 2005 to 2007

Objective　By assessing the performance of the infectious disease network report system in Taiyuan, Shanxiprovince, the study summarizes the influential factors associated with the quality of these network reports. Methods　Reportcards of infectious diseases in each level of medical institution in Taiyuan from 2005 to 2007 were collected from theDisease Surveillance Information Report Management System, of which the quality and timeliness, comprehensiveness andprecision of verification in separate years was statistically analyzed. Results　The quality of infectious disease networkreports in Taiyuan was found to be improving by year. Significant betterment was seen in 2007. Conclusion　Furtherimprovement is expected in the performance of the infectious disease network report system in Taiyuan, to which the key willbe a warrant for the timeliness.
