Analysis on the people’s behaviors related to traffic accident in Wenzhou city

ObjectiveTo know the people's behaviors related to traffic accident and utilization of the traffic safety protective measures in Wenzhou City, provide the scientific basis for the prevention and control of traffic accident. MethodsMulti-staged random sampling was conducted to select 755 people aged from 15 to 69 years in 3 typical counties of Wenzhou, and questionnaire survey was conducted among them. ResultsIt was found that 42.43％ of the people never wore helmets when driving or riding motorcycle, and 46.53％ of the people never used seat belts regularly when driving or taking motor vehicles in the past 30 days. The rates for driving over the speed limit, drunk driving，driving in fatigue, driving without license were 11.76％，7.65％, 12.97％ and 8.33％ respectively. ConclusionThe utilization of traffic safety protective measures was insufficient and the driving against traffic regulation was frequent among the people in Wenzhou.
