Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the current status of pesticide residue on the vegetables in the market of Huhhot. MethodsNinety samples of 15 kinds of vegetables were taken randomly by stratified sampling, and the detection of pesticide residue was conducted according to the standard of NY/T 761-2008. ResultsThe detection rate of pesticide residue was 15.56%, and the residue on 2.22% of positive samples was over the limit, the residue on 97.78% of positive samples was acceptable which was slightly higher than national level. The detection rate of vegetables with leaves is higher than any other kind of vegetables. For the pesticides detected, 14 phosphate pesticides were detected for 3 times, 7 pyrethroids were detected for 3 times and 2 fungicides were detected for 10 times, The pesticide on 2 samples for which the residue was over the limit was chlorpyrifos. There was no significant difference in pesticide residue on vegetables with different production places and from different transporting routes. ConclusionThe acceptance rate of pesticide residue on vegetables in Huhhot was higher than national level in recent years.
