Abstract
ObjectiveTo analyze the age distribution of rubella cases. MethodsThe data of rubella incidence in Yongjia from 2005 to 2008 were collected from national disease reporting information system and analyzed by SPSS. ResultsA total of 4714 rubella cases occurred during this period, and 3152 cases occurred in age groups of 10 and 15 years old, accounting for 66.86% of the total cases in 9 age groups. Less cases occurred in other age groups. The difference on incidence among age groups were statistical significant (I/Isup2/sup=6487.67,IP/I=0.00), The incidence in the age groups of 10 and 15 years old was significantly higher than other age groups, and the difference on incidence between male and female had no statistical significance (I/Isup2/sup=2.56,IP/I=0.110). ConclusionMore cases of rubella have been observed in older age group, so it is necessary to strengthen the disease prevention and control in adolescent.
