Complete genome sequence analysis of Dengue virus 1 isolated in Yiwu, Zhejiang

  • Objective To understand the epidemiologic characteristics of an imported dengue fever case in Yiwu in 2013. Methods Blood samples were collected from the case to detect IgM antibody and nucleic acid of the virus with ELISA and real-time RT-PCR and isolate the virus strain with C6/36 cell. The complete genome of the virus was sequenced and analyzed. Results IgM and RNA of dengue virus 1 were detected in the serum sample, the Dengue virus were isolated and named Zj/yw01. The Zj/yw01 strain reaches 10 141 bp in lengthen of complete genome, the viral genomic sequence dada was submitted to the GenBank (Accession No. KF864667). The strain belonged to Dengue virus 1 subtype Ⅴ, which shared highest homology with the virus strain isolated in Angola (KF184957). Conclusion Bio-molecular analysis indicated that the imported dengue fever case was probably originated form Angola.
