Advance on Sindbis virus and its related disease

  • Sindbis virus is an arbovirus of wide distribution in the world. SINV was confirmed as the causative agent of fever, rash and arthrophlogosis, moreover, the disease is tended to be chronicity and cause severer hazard to human health. In China, several strains of Sindbis virus have been isolated from serum of fever patient, Culex tritaeniorhynchus and Anopheles sinensis. SINV seropositivity in humans has been confirmed in crowd extensively. Therefore, we reviewed the relation of sindbis virus with human disease.
