Abstract
Objective To establish the default coding sequence database by compare the coding sequences (CDSs) of 8 Yersinia pestis (Y.pestis) genomes to seek the most-widespread CDSs among the Y. pestis strains.
Methods By using the Blast software, the Perl programming and the Excel software and so on, the sequenced coding sequences of 8 Y. pestis genomes were compared and analyzed.
Results The default coding sequence database was established, including 4271 CDSs, it has 1176 CDSs, whose 8 Y. pestis nucleotides (amino acid) are completely consistent; it has 2465 CDSs and the corresponding CDS has 1 default-CDS; and it has 630 CDSs and the corresponding CDS has 2 default-CDSs.
Conclusion The established default coding sequence database is the cluster of most-widespread CDS of Y. pestis. The default coding sequence database can provide reliable information for the further study of Y.pestiss genetic characteristics.
